Pleasantdale Farm

pleasantdale farm nj

Pleasantdale Farm, located on the grounds of Pleasantdale Chateau, another venue owned by the Knowles family, and just a mile down the road, produces thousands of pounds of produce each year – all of which is pesticide-free and used in the kitchens of our restaurants.

More than 40 varieties of tomatoes and multiple varieties of squash, winter squash, peppers, bell peppers, eggplants, herbs, radish, beans and leafy greens are grown from seed and handpicked by the chef and his staff during the harvest season.

An orchard of apples, peaches, plums and pears is also on the grounds (with a variety of each also on the grounds of The Manor) of which our pastry chef gets full reign.

Assisting in the production of such a bountiful harvest are the inhabitants of our apiary. More than 100,000 bees live in our two hives situated at the western edge of the farm. They pollinate all of the above-mentioned plants and trees as well as the decorative flowers we grow for use on our properties, both inside and out.

While each of our restaurants have their own herb gardens and such, the Pleasantdale Farm is the main resource of our produce – something few restaurants, even in the Garden State, can say they have.

Visit the farm's Facebook page and "like" us to see all the work that goes into running our farm.

Its splendor is solid and genuine…The Manor clearly excels…Expect a tradition of excellence whether it’s a business luncheon for 2 or 25 or a corporate event for 225.
