The Grover Cleveland Birthplace Memorial Association to Reenact a Presidential Wedding

– Thursday, August 28, 2014. As part of the festivities, Roland Mesnier, former White House chef, will entertain the guests with his memories of past glamorous galas hosted at our nation’s presidential residence. Chef Mesnier, who served under five American presidents, is collaborating with Pastry Chef Nicola Petullo of the landmark wedding venue, The Manor of West Orange, NJ to develop a recreation of the cake served at the reception for President Cleveland’s wedding. With well over 20 years of experience at The Manor, Chef Petullo has a long history of recreating wedding cakes to meet couples’ desires. The Manor Restaurant Receives Wine Spectator's "Best of Award of Excellence"
West Orange Fine Dining Destination Recognized for its Well-Curated and Varied Wine List

News, Wine Spectator Award, The Manor, Best of Award of Excellence – Monday, August 12, 2013.

Wine Spectator, the prominent national lifestyle magazine and online resource that specializes in wine information and wine culture has recognized The Manor, the landmark West Orange, NJ restaurant and special event facility, with its coveted “Best of Award of Excellence” for 2013.

Wine Spectator judges evaluate the wine lists of dining establishments and acknowledges those whose wine lists “offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine, and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.”

To receive special recognition for the “Best of Award of Excellence,” The Manor had to meet or exceed several requirements. These included a wine list that is “superior in presentation” and one that displays either “vintage depth with several vertical offerings of top wines, or excellent breadth across several wine regions.” Recipients of this award also typically offer 400 or more selections. The Manor’s wine list showcases well in excess of 800 different wine choices.

The Manor Receives AAA Four Diamond Award for 26th Consecutive Year

News, AAA, The Manor, 4 Diamond Award – Thursday, June 13, 2013.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) recently presented The Manor, the landmark West Orange, NJ restaurant and special event facility, with its 26th consecutive Four Diamond Award. This year, there were only eight other restaurants in the state to have been chosen for this honor.

With this achievement, The Manor holds by far the longest streak of Four Diamond Awards in the state of New Jersey. It also remains the restaurant with the third-most consecutive wins throughout the United States.

The Manor Restaurant Named A Top 10 Best Overall Restaurant in the Tri-State Area
West Orange Fine Dining Establishment Named a Diners' Choice Winner According by OpenTable

News, Diners' Choice Winner, The Manor, Top 10 Best Overall Restaurants in Tri-State – Tuesday, July 31, 2012. >

OpenTable, a leading online restaurant reservation service, recently named The Manor Restaurant as a Top 10 Best Overall Restaurant in the tri-state area as part of its Diners’ Choice Awards, as voted by users of the web-based service.

The Manor Restaurant shares the recognition with restaurants such as Daniel on the Upper East Side, Gramercy’s Eleven Madison Park, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills. OpenTable reports that the Diners' Choice list is generated over a 60-day period from feedback forms provided to diners by the service after restaurants confirm the guests who made the reservation have indeed been “seated” (e.g. once there is confirmation a guest has dined at the establishment). In all, OpenTable claims to have tabulated votes by more than 2,353,900 diners across all of its Diners’ Choice lists for the United States. The Diners’ Choice lists are updated with new data multiple times per year.
